Empowering Dental Excellence Through Advanced Technology
At Preferred Dental Care, we believe that exceptional dental care starts with innovation. Our commitment to utilizing cutting-edge dental technology allows us to deliver more accurate diagnoses, minimally invasive treatments, and a more comfortable experience for our patients. From digital imaging to state-of-the-art diagnostic tools, every piece of technology we use is carefully selected to enhance your care and ensure outstanding results.
Digital X-rays
Digital X-rays allow your dentist to capture an image of the tooth or teeth and then process it through an imaging program. Within this imaging program, there are a number of tools that will allow your dentist to take a very close look at the teeth and surrounding structures with amazing accuracy. As a benefit to the patient, digital X-rays also provide nearly 80% less radiation than a standard X-ray due to the fact that the digital version of the X-ray is much more sensitive to this radiation and has been specifically designed with the patient in mind.
CEREC
No Temporaries
No Messy Impressions
One Easy Appointment
CEREC is an advanced dental technology used for restoring decayed, cracked, or chipped teeth. With CEREC, we can create full crowns, inlays, onlays, and veneers in a matter of minutes. CEREC restorations are made of compressed porcelain and are stronger than laboratory restorations, which are layered porcelain. The most beneficial feature of receiving a CEREC restoration is that it is accomplished in one visit. In addition to the benefit of a one-visit restoration, there is no uncomfortable impression material to bite on or temporary to wear.
The procedure for placement of a CEREC restoration is very simple. The first step is to remove all decay from the tooth. The doctor will then shape the tooth in preparation to take a digital picture. The tooth is then sprayed with a very fine powder. This allows the digital camera to take an acceptable image. Once this image is captured, the tooth will appear on a computer screen in 3D. This will allow your doctor to design the restoration right in front of you. Once the design is completed, the CEREC machine will mill the restoration. This step takes approximately 15 minutes. You can actually watch this process if you would like. When the restoration is finished, the doctor will place it. The entire process should take approximately one hour.
Invisalign
Invisalign is a system of straightening teeth without the use of conventional braces. A series of clear plastic aligners creates tooth movement. Moving teeth with removable aligners is not a new concept. However, the computer program, which can generate a series of aligners with minor adjustments, is the new component. Invisalign is recommended for orthodontic situations with mild to moderate spacing issues or crowding. Clear aligners are virtually undetectable, easy to use, and comfortable to wear.
Lluma Ultra Cone Beam CT Scanner
This imaging technology produces a 3D image of the patient’s mouth for precision diagnosis. Your dentist can also determine whether a bone graft or sinus lift is necessary to complete the total procedure. The 3D technology provides a level of accuracy that is not available with 2D technology.
Osstell
Osstell specializes in instruments for analyzing dental implant stability. The company’s latest product, Osstell ISQ, measures the stability of implants in an objective, non-invasive manner using the universal Implant Stability Quotient (ISQ) scale. ISQ values help your dentist determine the optimal time to load each implant. Also, by detecting decreasing stability, Osstell ISQ can help prevent failure caused by premature loading.
Simplant
Simplant is an interactive system that determines the position of each implant with 100% accuracy. For the patient, this means that the implant will be placed precisely where it needs to go, eliminating discomfort.
